The Queen of New York switch siders !?

If you live in the tri-state area and are a fan of hip-hop, then you most likely have heard the SHOCKING news. Yup, Angie Martinez of HOT 97 have announced her retirement. However, the real crazy part… is that hours after, she made an appearance on their rival station 105.1 (Home of the Breakfast Club). Now, anybody from the tri-state area knows this is major taboo! But, she did it! She crossed sides and aint nobody said Sh!t. So, it turns out that she will also be having a 2PM – 6PM time shift! This is CRAZY, now im thinking this had something to do with the Dame Dash vs Funk Flex scenario or a DJ Funk Flex vs DJ Envy scenario. I mean nowadays it seams that the DJ, self proclaimed as the King of New York is going at everybody. Which raises questions like…whats his strategy? where does he see HOT 97 in the next 5 years ? Who is his PR ? I don’t know but turns out we WILL have the answer next week. Check it out tho!

 

Dame Dash vs DJ Funk Flex! Says Dame owes Millions to rappers!

There has been a lot of tension flying from both sides of the fence on this one. It seems as though Dame Dash is feeling some kind of way that “Culture Vultures” are in the industry soaking up things that don’t belong to them. Dame explains that there are benefits that aren’t being distributed to the rappers and music industry insiders, but instead are being exploited by CEOs who oversee hip-hop. KreyShawn’s album sales!

Not trying to be funny, but this may have broken a world record somewhere. Especially for a signed artist. According to the rapper, she posted her earnings in an attempt to make light out of the income she had accumulated. According to her twitter account, she made an estimated “0.01” off of her debut album, titled “Something About Krey”. Thats a suprise,especially since she had a hit single in 2011 “Gucci, Gucci”. Im guessing that there must have been alot of people that she had to pay. Nevertheless, shorty came out on top getting signed with that advance. I know we aint gonna she the last of her, since shes a hustler. But all together, theres a lesson to be learned here…That proves that its more than having a hit record in order to make it big. I hope you up and coming cats are taking notes.

I dont know about you, but I love it when I can start planning for summer during the winter..feels like the warmth is just around the corner. Updated information for that OutKast shows that the duo will be performing at Coachella this year! So if you can get tickets, better cop them.

It’s the top of the year French Montana just announced that he will be dropping “Macaroni and Cheese 4”. Only difference is this installment will not be a mixtape, the homie is releasing the project as an EP for his sophomore  album.
